Meet The Family

Dr Isaac Quilhot is the primary doctor at Etowah Valley Dentistry

I was born in 1992 and raised in Cotter, Arkansas - a small town of less than 1,000 people in the Ozark mountains. My two brothers and I were homeschooled so that the family could travel as a function of our dad’s job. We traveled around the country, but Arkansas was always home base. During undergrad at Arkansas State University, I carried numerous side hustles including mowing lawns, flipping cars, restaurant work, stocking shelves, and working at a sawmill.

One of my more memorable jobs was to help maintain a small fishing resort owned by a retired dentist. He was a good boss, and we would sit in the shade and drink a soda after a hard day’s work. He always had stories about his career and urged me to consider dentistry. He said it was the best decision he ever made besides marrying his wife.

Dental school was fun. I attended the University of Tennessee and met my wife there. I picked up volleyball, weight lifting, hiking, and cycling as hobbies. My longest ride was 400 miles following the Mississippi River from Memphis to New Orleans. I got my passport and further developed my passion for travel. My favorite adventures were backpacking Europe, Iceland, Colombia, and Mexico.

Upon graduating in May 2018, we moved to Asheville, bought a fixer-upper house, and started a family. At our maximum capacity, we had 4 cats, 3 kids, 2 dogs, and a hamster. Since then we have downsized slightly (hint: it was the cats). Over the next few years, I worked at several locations in the surrounding area figuring out what kind of dentistry I wanted to do.

I pride myself in being the most efficient dentist that I can be and accomplishing the most good with the tools that I have. I am never going to be a coddler or a “hand holder”, and I’m certainly no salesman. My promise to you is simple: if you choose to trust me with your teeth, I will perform some fantastic dentistry.

Dr Soojin Lee works at Etowah Valley Dentistry one day per week

Dr. Soojin Lee’s journey started in South Korea and brought her to Knoxville, TN, in 1999—She earned her degree in Biochemistry at the University of Tennessee, along with a minor in piano, and went on to complete her doctorate at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

She’s been part of the Arden Dental Group family since 2020 and stays active in several dental organizations, always keeping up with the latest to better serve her patients. She also works part-time at Etowah Valley Dentistry

What really sets Dr. Lee apart? She genuinely gets to know you. She believes great dentistry starts with trust, clear communication, and making sure you feel comfortable every step of the way. Whether you’re coming in for a simple cleaning or a full smile makeover, her goal is to make it a positive, personalized experience you actually feel good about.

Outside the office, she’s a busy mom to Noah, Ryan, and Dean, and together with Dr. Isaac, they’re raising a proud crew of future Tennessee Volunteers (GO VOLS!). When she gets a rare moment to relax, you’ll probably find her watching Schitt’s Creek or listening to Taylor Swift—because great taste extends beyond dentistry too.

Duda is available for childcare services

Duda came to the US from Brazil as an au-pair on a work visa 4 years ago. Since then she has become a part of the family and is currently working to acquire green card status. She is bright, kind, great with kids, and certified for infant/child CPR/first aid. In addition to watching our own children, she is available to watch your children while you are receiving dental care.
